Untitled Wallpaper (I don’t know if I make paintings or images actually, but it doesn’t matter to me. In a way, it‘s also about setting yourself up for something so stupid and so impossible as to picture the world in its entirety – but not even that, even dumber, to try and order it. And then you get close enough but fail. And everything is different and imperfect and chaotic and you feel the weight of that crushing you – but, also, it‘s the oxygen you get. Because if it was good, if it was technical and proportional and harmonious, if things would always fit, there would be no need to experience it as an image. It would end up becoming an actual wallpaper. A backdrop to something else.)
